About

I am setting up this blog primarily to create a place where digital games researchers can exchange their thoughts on scientific papers, new scientific findings, and suitable research methodologies. Therefore, one idea is to present an article - I find helpful - each week and I would like to encourage other researchers in this area to present interesting articles within this community as well.

I am doing research in this area as part of my PhD project at the chair of Prof. Reichwald, TU München. More information about my project and it’s progress are in the category “PhD project,” which - at some point - may be helpful for other candidates depending on how it evolves …

The working title of my PhD thesis currently is: “Motivational factors and adoption criteria of digital games with emphasis on age group comparison.” Accordingly, motivation, acceptance, and age are also of primary interest to me as is refelected in the categories. Furthermore, as I want to do empirical research, research methodologies are just as important for me. Last not least, as always in scientific projects, the definition of all kinds of relevant terms is fundamental and this part may often go beyond the primary scope. For this reason, this blog may cover the mentioned various other topics apart from digital games.
